Fouji Calf Starter

فوجی کاف سٹارٹر

Fouji Calf Starter is a 20–22% crude protein pellet for young calves. Offered fresh from the first week of life, alongside milk, it helps the calf develop its rumen so it can move on to fodder and dry feed smoothly after weaning.

Feeding guidance

A measured, gradual approach.

Start in the first week of life: put a small handful of fresh starter and clean water in front of the calf every day, and remove whatever is left stale. Intake rises to about 0.5 to 1 kg a day by six to eight weeks. The calf can be weaned off milk when it eats about 1 kg of starter a day for three days in a row and is healthy.

Starter is given alongside milk, not instead of it, until weaning. Keep the feed fresh and dry, and clean water always available. If the calf has diarrhoea or stops eating, call a vet.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When should a calf start eating Calf Starter feed?

From the first week of life. Put a small handful of fresh calf starter feed in a clean feed trough and clean water in front of the calf every day, and remove whatever is left stale. Intake climbs to about 0.5 to 1 kg a day by six to eight weeks.

When can the calf be weaned off milk?

When it eats about 1 kg of starter a day for three days in a row and is healthy. Weaning is decided by what the calf eats, not by its age alone.

Why does early starter matter?

Eating dry starter early is what develops the calf's rumen, so it can move on to fodder and dry feed smoothly after weaning.
