Feeding guidance

A measured, gradual approach.

Give about 1 to 1.5 kg a day for the animal's own body needs (less when there is plenty of good green fodder), then 1 kg for every 2.5 to 3 litres of cow milk, or for every 2 to 2.5 litres of buffalo milk. Split it into two or three meals. When starting, reach the full amount slowly over 7 to 10 days. For your animal's exact amount, use the Feed Calculator on our website. In the dry period, give about 0.5 to 1 kg a day (1 to 1.5 kg if the animal lives mostly on straw), and from the sixth month of pregnancy add about 1 to 1.5 kg more.

Do not change the wanda suddenly; switch over 7 to 10 days. Always keep fodder and clean water in front of the animal. For a pregnant, sick or very high-yielding animal, check the amount with a vet or an animal nutrition expert.
